File extension vro information

File extension VRO is used by the video files that have been by recorded using DVD-VR. The acronym VRO stands for Video Recording Object. .VRO files are commonly used together with the IFO files. The IFO files are used for holding necessary information on the menus, timings and chapters. In most cases, the software used to play the DVD first looks for the IFO files which provide information on the where the .VRO files are located. All the real audio and video streams are to be found in the IFO files.
One common use of file extension VRO files is in recording especially in instances where multiple sessions have to be recorded on a solitary disk as Set-stop DV camera recorders and DVD recorders use the .VRO files. It is possible for a user to change the .VRO files into MPG format. The advantage to this is it makes the files directly readable especially if the user makes use of editing and video play back softwares. However, changing the file format from VRO and into MPG does not in any way result in changes in the contents of the file. It is only the file extension that changes.
